It was a pleasure to have Mrs.Swaile-Black (our Librarian) visit us twice this week to introduce some fun and interactive websites to support our learning about Light and Sound!!

    

Choir

I am leading the school choir at Fieldcrest this year!! It is for all students between Grade 3 - 8.

Our first performance will be on remembrance day. Follow the link to hear In Flanders Fields. A great way to learn music is to take time to listen to it!

Math Games

I introduced an interactive math website to the children today! Please follow the link I provided and explore the multiple activities that are available!

Today I encouraged the students to follow the Grade 4 link to the Money Master game, found under the Number Sense and Numeration header from the main Grade 4 menu.

Highlights from today!!! The students showed me some of their favorite books from the book fair, and we started our social studies unit through art! The students are drawing ALL that they know about Canada! 

Our first Science experiment this week. Exploring properties of light! We discovered that light travel's in a straight line!

Lots of fun and smiles from our first day at school!!
