Exploring Patterns through Art

The students started a small weaving activity which allowed them to discover patterns while creating art AND practicing fine motor skills. They had the choice of selecting a specific pattern detail.....for example: 2 under, 2 over; 6 under, 6 over; 4 under, 2 over etc.

Problem Solving Model

Almost every day we practice our problem solving skills by using the 4 part problem solving model, in groups and individually. This model is GREAT for helping students work through math problems. Its structure helps them display and explain their thinking clearly....Allowing for a meaningful math experience!

Exploring Prodigy

Practicing our learning about patterns on prodigy!!

After completing math activities for the day students are able to practice their skills through their choice out of 5 Balanced Math activities. Their favorite is playing Prodigy on the Chromebooks.

Instrument Making

To wrap up our science unit on Light and Sound the students created their own instruments. I was floored by their creativity!!! And LOVED watching them work together to create their master pieces!!!

Halloween Fun!!!

We had SO much fun on Halloween Monday!!! Lots of great costumes!!! And lots of fun using our knowledge of shape and line to create spooky characters!!!
