March & April

In reading, we are learn how to make connections and access our schema to establish deeper understanding. Before, During and After reading we discuss what we know (schema) and make connections from parts of the story to ourselves, other texts, the world and to media. In writing, we are creating persuasive essays/letters. In these writings we will take on "hot topics" that interest us and our peers, and use writing techniques that will convince our intended audience.
